This Labor Day weekend, my wife and I went to Provincetown, Mass. The last time I was here was almost 45 years ago. It was with my two friends, Barry and Larry. We were “hanging around” on Union Street (Jersey City) and concluded Provincetown had to have the best New England clam chowder. So we jumped into the car and drove there, had the best New England clam chowder “in the world!!”, and drove back. It was a great Saturday. I toasted both the memory of that impulsive day and Larry, who has since left us. Oh, how I miss those days. As for Provincetown today, it has changed and so much for the better.
